Ok People I have been testing a few Buildz. If anyone wants to try 1 or 2 of them tonight I will be more than willing to help anyone. I want to start as soon as we can so here here are a few Buils I been running.

Iway(I will Avenge You):
4 Iway Warriors (W/R)
1 Mantra of Resolve Trapper (R/Me)
1 Martyr Trapper (R/Mo)
1 Orders Necro
1 Fire Nuker Ele

Balanced Build:
1 Word of Healing/ Heal Party Monk (M/Mes) aka WoH/HP
1 Protection Monk
1 Mark of Prot/Infuse Health monk
2 Shock Warriors (W/E) Hammer warriors with AfterShock
1 Ele with Ward against Melee
1 E-drain/Interupt Mesmer
1 Trapper or SS Necro or even another Mesmer (Spot can be used for about anything damage dealing)

I am not entirly sure what each build is but i can help the Monks and Rangers and eles with their Slots.

I know Iway Warriors need several spirits I know what the Spirits are also a few warriors need Sprint and the Ele needs Winborne Speed. The Shock Warriors in balaced Need Sprint and Windborne Speed. Everyone should be able to setup fairly quickly. Once you know your Build Please Post it in GvG team Builds!! Thanks!!

ALSO if your if your are interested in Getting our PvP groups organized faster PLZ get on teamspeak. Teamspeak will not be a requirement but HIGHLY recommended if you want to be semi Serious about GvG/PvP. If you do not have teamspeak you can download it for FREE at www.goteamspeak.com Download the Client. and the Teamspeak info is here http://www.cgalliance.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11371

Also on a side note a Password is no Longer required for TS (Teamspeak) but you still have to register with the Server which there is almost always a Server admin on.

Ya well I've been busy so i haven't.

That has "mad dogg matt couldn't miss this subliminal message" written all over it :p and anyway I don't want TS I don't have a mic it wouldn't help me it is senseless people!

Even if you don't have a microphone you can still listen to the conversations on TS as well as directions and strategy being discussed beforehand. It also speeds up communication in the match.

BTW Matt TS makes us get out of the Hall much faster than if we typed! We are working on getting successful build that everyone knows that we can run with very little wait! And TS is a Big part of teaching this. Would take me 2 to even 3 times LONGER to show someone how to do a certain Build without TS!

Maybe we should officially just discuss the strategy here, then set a date for when we do it, and before we log in we look over the strategy and then get right to the action

 I'm so proud of you CS, that's 2 consecutive complete thoughts posted on one thread. :D

I completely agree that we should do as much to discuss strategy on the forum ahead of time. If we know when we log in that we are planning to do build X and that I am expected to take the role of the SS Necro, I can log in right away and be ready to go. Unfortunately, reality is that we won't have enough people sign up on the forum to cover all the positions (for example, no resmer for the Minion Factory) or someone who signed up will needs to leave at the last minute or doesn't show up because of real-life issues. With that, one or more of us have to change characters, player build and roles to fill out a full team. This coordination of the "floaters" definitely goes faster with voice chat. For the purposes of setup, though, the team leader and any floaters should be on TS and the others don't need to participate.

As for communication in match, there is a lot more that happens on TS than can be done efficiently using the in-game tools. The biggest help of voice communications though is the speed and ease of giving and receiving directions and asking for help. In our GvG match on Monday, for example, one of our warriors was body blocked into a corner by another warrior. He was able to ask for help over TS without having to stop using skills and type his request. The other mechanics of GvG and some tombs maps are helped by voice chat as well. Field commands (go get another flag, Watch out they're firing the catapult, push forward or retreat to the flag stand) can be given without stopping to type. Even if you are just listening in, it can be helpful to hear what is going to to help coordinate your actions with the rest of the team to allow us to be as effective as possible.

Perhaps there should be a stickied thread with effective proven pvp builds as well as more discussion on strategy and execution for those builds. Along with that, practice time and/or training for newer players interested in pvp would probably be greatly helpful.

Practice sessions would not only allow us to learn to work better as a team but help people to learn to use/play more than one type of class or pvp build thus allowing for more flexibility when a pvp group is being formed.

I just had an idea, I was off reading one of the Ranger forums I frequent and had this thought, why not have some sort of pvp boot camp. We could design a structured way for new people to learn how to play pvp, learn gvg builds and learn how to play specific class types. Its just a thought, might be fun, it could also be way to much work.

I know of at least one other guild consisting of two actual "guilds", one for players who are experienced with pvp and care about their rank/rating, and one for players who either are new to pvp and still in training or who don't care to participate in pvp.

You know folks, taking this approach really could kill three birds with one stone for us. First of all, those of us who really get depressed about our low rating or impatient at our lengthy preparation times for pvp stuff (both of which are the result of involving new/inexperienced players, which is exactly what we SHOULD be doing!) would probably appreciate being involved in a group with other experienced pvp players. Second, having two groups would faciliate the occasional us vs us match, which would help us prepare folks for gvg/hoh. And third, it would create some much-needed membership slots to help handle the steady flow of new folks who are wanting to join.

There are certainly downsides involved as well, including the inability of one group's members to see members from the other group on the guild screen...but despite the issues, other guilds have opted for this approach. Seems like something we might consider.

I agree, that is a good idea. The only down side I can see is people who wish to change between the two guilds periodically, our officers would have to come up with a policy goverening changes to the rosters for the guilds. But changing would only really be a problem once one or both guilds get cloose to their respective player limit.

we actually made a second guild(Spirit of Elisha) with Dirk's second account for one practice GvG match, which i found to be a lot of fun.

this will most likely be more practical once factions comes out and we can be allied with other guilds.
