Mount Quest

I think we did a good job with our run in scholo, getting very close is good enough for me but I think we might need a priest and lock for the damage and healing. My Thanks to the people that help us that night and to the pallies our mounts shall come someday. Anything is possible. As for the next time, just say a time and day and I let you guys know if I can make it or not. If I am the only one missing then I do say to go ahead with the run. There always plenty of opportunities for this quest.

Best of Luck to you guys

I think priest-mage would be a better combination for the two extras. Being able to Polymorph the Dark Summoners would have kept us out of a lot of trouble in the last run.

I have a 60 mage and a 60 warlock...so you could pick :-) Mage can sheep...but the SS would give you a second chance at the event if you have difficulty. I'll talk to Avesther about a time.

Goblit is right though. A SS would have given us another chance, so we need to think about that one. This is a quote from the guy/girl who wrote the quest info I've been reading:

"Your final quest will be to actually get the horse. For this, you'll want to build a group of players whom you know will remain focused on the task. My group consisted of three paladins (60, 60, 59), a 60 warlock, and a 60 priest. I will say that the warlock and the priest were absolutely vital in actually getting to the event, for soulstone and shackle respectively. Once there, you need to clear *all* of Rattlegore's room down to the last mob."

I notice one of the commenters said he pulled it off with priest/druid (Rebirth taking the place of the soulstone). But is everyone forgetting Divine Intervention? Or am I overlooking a reason it wouldn't help?

Anyway, one other advantage the mage would have is the ability to sheep the priest if Darkreaver mind-controls him. Not sure if there's anything corresponding in a druid's arsenal, and I'm quite sure warlocks can't help there. (Anyone else getting mind-controlled, the priest can dispel.) But the mage's value is more in the getting to the final battle, than in the battle itself. Perhaps a substitution right before the fight is in order?

By the way, if Joreena or Schmeea is reading this, I'd just like to say that y'all put in a great effort on the last try. For a regular Scholomance run, I'd love to have you back, but warrior/rogue are just the wrong support classes for a three-charger run.
