Mount Thanks

Well, Level 42 and I have my first mount ever. I only managed to raise 14 gold by myself through crafting, questing, and auctioning drops. The rest of the 90 gold needed to buy the mount and the training came from guild members. 40 of it came from the bank. I wish to thank everyone who helped me on this and now I won't get left in the dust in WSG and Arathi :-)

On a related note, now that I'm flat broke from buying the mount, does anyone have a source for green drops wayy below my level? I need to get my enchanting skill up to my level and I can't afford to keep buying low-level greens to D/E at the AH. I tried soloing VC but got dead at Sneed (the Mast Room). Any ideas? Thanks!

Welcome to the world of being broke after buying a mount. Everybody experiences this phenomena. If you are looking to solo anything at your level, I'd drop the 0/33/0 spec and at least pick up Shadow form in the shadow tree. You'll notice that VC is pretty soloable.

dude msg me anytime, i do SM, SFK, Stockades, Gnomer, VC mostly when im on.

and no u may not need roll all the greens for d/e, cuz i need em for enchants too :D

I'd definitely go Shadow for awhile to help w/ grinding. You can still effectively heal the 5man instances if you need too.

Everyone does tell me to respec shadow. I know it's much easier to level and all. At heart, I'm an RP person trapped on a PvP realm :). Syre is modeled (and named) after my pastor, Rev. Mark Syre' (his name is pronounced sir-RAY but I don't care how you pronounce the character). His story goes that I was flipping through the faces/hair/etc models during character creation and I saw a combination that looked just like Pastor Syre'. So I named him as such. Being that Pastor Syre' (if he were a WoW character) would most likely be a holy spec priest, I play the char as such. Interestingly enough, Pastor Syre' used to be a chaplain in the Army.

As for a respec - I was considering it. I think I'll give the 0/33/0 a try for a little while longer (things are looking up financially in game) and see how it looks.

To answer Atown, I rarely, if ever, roll need for anything. Even if I do need it :)

I also would like to apologize to all of you for my week of absence from WoW. Not only was I bogged down with client work all week but I was called out of town on business no less than three times. Once (Friday) with only 1 day's notice. But things look much calmer this week so I should be able to get back to my regular WoW schedule.

More on names: Stonecipher is named after my friend and Brother, William L. Stonecipher. No, he isn't a Dwarf (he looks more like a tall Gnome, actually), he just has an unbelievably cool last name. Especially that he's a Freemason and all and that all our symbolism about morality and stuff makes use of stone workers' tools as allegorical representations is a beautiful synchronicity. I named the Dwarf that because Dwarves are the stone people. And Stonecipher is an unbelievable cool name :)

(NOTE: Please don't msg me with the "You can't be a Christian and a Freemason" line. I've been down that road too many times. I have never seen a conflict between Freemasonry and Christianity and if I ever did, I'd give Masonry the boot. I wouldn't leave God just to please the Lodge. Jesus is Lord. Period. :))
