Mouse Tray

Hey guys...

The keyboard tray on my desk is barely big enough for a full sized keyboard so I had to buy a mini keyboard (I miss my number pad) so I could fit my mouse (no room for a pad) and my Nostromo speedpad. I'd love to get two attachable mouse trays to fit on either side of the keyboard tray, but I can't seem to find reasonably priced ones. $30 each for a dang mouse tray is NOT reasonable.

Anyone have any ideas?

I could design it, but I couldn't build it :)

Maybe I could buy some small pillars from Garden Ridge...that would be interesting

I have this same problem. My keyboard tray is very narrow. I have my keyboard hanging off one side a couple inches and my mouse pad hanging off a little on the other side. The mouse is always falling into the trash can, haha.

It would be very easy for me to fix mine with a longer board for a tray. I have one of those cheap Best Buy desks, it's all press board. I could easily unscrew the mount that's holding it and remove the gliders from each side, attach them to a new board, fix the mount, done. Now that you've made me think of it I just might do this sometime soon.

As an alternative I thought about glueing the Keyboard to the Keyboard tray, so even if I hang it off the side it wont go anywhere. O_o

ROFL :D

Erm, my dad gots a GOOD mouse extension, and the tray even goes in too... i'll see if i'll ask him where he got his...

I personally just kept my keyboard on the tray and moved the mouse and nostromo pad to the desktop (not the computer's)... little weird at first but you get used to it.

I thought about that, but I couldn't get over the weirdness :)
