For over 3 years, I have lived with the constant stress of only having one key for my car. Always wondering what would happen if I lost the only one, what the name of a good lockpicking company was, wondering which one of us actually lost the second key.
I finally gave up looking and searching thinking 3 years were enough. I bit the bullet and asked them to make me a new key and key fog (autolock no autostart unfortunately). By the time they added up all the parts, it came to $365! They also needed to keep my car over night for parts to come in.
Of course, last night I was eating cherries, and bit one wrong.....broke one of my front teeth so I look like a freak of nature. Samboe suggested dressing like a redneck and learning to yodel....I just was wishing I had my car to go get it fixt.
Then they phoned and said that they needed to put a new battery in the old one in order to program the new one and that was another $20. The cost is now $385 and will likely be ready in 15 minutes. I realize I'm still in my pj's and it sounds promising so get dressed.
I phoned the dentist, and there was an opening in an hour and a half, but not trusting the shop will somehow figure out the programming in time, I took an appointment tomorrow.
I rummage through the closet looking for a coat. For a giggle, I check the pockets of everyone's old coats all the while considering how ironic it would be to actually find the lost key at this point.
And....I found it.
Still waiting for the shop to call me and let me know the key that has taken them 2 days to make is ready....
Signed ,
The Freak with 3 keys....
