no love for country ? (besides MM)
You misunderstand. I like some, selected country music; there's maybe a dozen songs on my iPod, and most of those could be considered Southern Rock as well.

As for listening to it, I'm mostly okay with it. The twangy stuff drives me nuts. But the stuff you can dance to is fine.

Oh, and I listen to some classical and some Middle Eastern. Left that off.

The best amount of bass for a rap song is when you stand in the back of the room your clothes vibrate :p up close the bass should be stumach grinding :p

our setup in our youth area is 4x12in turbosound, 2xdual 18in turbosound subs and 2 rear 15in peaveys. On average we run around 110-115 decibels for music and around 100 for worship. the turbosounds are impressive, if your church needs a sound system for a semi decent price take the turbosounds, they are LOUD and sound clear compared to yamahas, behringers, and peveys in the same price range...

Of course a system wound sound good without a properly equelized system and someone who knows how to equelize a channel...

Nothing like having complaints from the other side of the church :p

Rap=Crap
most people who hate rap havent actually heard a good song. I will admit that scremo and rap is an aquired taste, and alot of people frown at you when you play it in your car...

Oh I've heard my fair share of rap. My roomate freshman year listened to it all the time, I never got to put my own music on as a matter of fact. I suppose my distaste for the genre can be credited to that bad experience but I never much cared for it before then either.

it is obvious that some people here dont respect other peoples choices...

Respect, its what allowed me to get my wonderful job. sure people around me do stuipid things but i have the respect and wisdom to not comment on how stuipid they are...

Agreed Vibro.

Let's move on and let Vibro listen to his Young M.C. and Tone Loc. (Old School, when rap was FUN!)

I currently have in my car's six disc changer:

Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits, Volume Two (The Boxer PWNS)
Casting Crowns (self-titled)
DC Talk, Supernatural
Queen, Greatest Hits Volume One (everything but Bohemian Rhapsody)
A random Veggie Tales CD (in case my son is in the car)
Gaither Vocal Band, A Few Good Men (working on it for a church quartet number)

Kutless ftw!

Other stuff I ususally listen to:
Skillet
Thousand Foot Krutch (they're playing on Christianrock.net right now, hehe)
Third Day
Jeremy Camp
Newsboys
MercyMe
Switchfoot
ApologetiX
Flyleaf
Jonah33
Pillar
Eowyn
dc Talk

But Kutless is by far my favorite.
