Need some info, I might buy this game

I need some info here on Guild Wars, to see if I can play it... well to see if I'm allowed to play it.

-I know it's a group type thing but I need to know if it's possible to turn off the chat, it's just not worth all the dirtbags out there who swear and all
-Um, basically is it appropriate for a 13 year old and his 10 year old sister if she wants to play
-What is the square root of pi
-Is it t3h c00ln3ss or is it OK... or not worth the $30.
 
1. You can turn off chat, but it would be tough to find groups. Howevere, there is a very good chat filter that you can use.
2. 13 year old, sure. 10 year old sister... as long as she's comfortable with large scale battles (little to no gore), magic, and dead bodies being reanimated for a short time (but they just look like weird, headless undead thingies, not the actual corpse).
3. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.78, to the nearest hundreth.
4. Not just t3h c00ln3$$, it's t3h r0><0rz!!

and the magic/battle stuff/appropriateness depends on the child in my opinion, i played ff7 when i was like 7-8 so yeah..... but if its a family affair thats awesome too

Yeah... man it's gonna be hard posting here without my 700+ posts like on ccgr.

Anyway, yeah it was great. :D HOWEVER ( :eek: ) I wanted a second... third... twelth opinion :p anyway so... no offense. I liked the beginning, especially, "In a world where magic is real..." Sounded cool to me.
 
oh yeah, magic is a decently heavy part of the game if u include specific ranger or monk skills,
 
The only thing that is inappropriate is some of the people that play the game. But that will be with any game where people can message each other. The game itself is fine. There is a great filter that will not show even the mildest of expletives but some people do abuse the ways around it from time to time.

Anyway... So! I've heard there are slightly *cough* revealing clothes on some of the women. :mad: Not really revealing, but like... well you know what I mean.

Also, I am very strongly considering this game... what amount of money is considered "a lot", like... in Runescape 1 mil is "a lot" while 1k is hardly anything unless your a lvl 3 guy looking for iron armor (second worst kind in the game)

OK, I'm gonna ask me Mom if I can buy it, she's prob gonna say yes ;) although I shouldn't get overconfident. Anyway, where would be a good place to get it? I guess we could just run on up to Wal-Mart and get it for $40, but I wanted to know your opinions, like... well, u know. :)
 
As a game, it's quite good. It does have appropriateness issues, not unlike most fantasy games, but the game has a nice filter that keeps in clean. Ain't much cussin' coming through my window. :)

Um... what kind of appropriateness issues? I'd be in a Christian guild (SoE) so I wouldn't be too worried... but still I need to know about it. Anyway, she's pretty good about that stuff and anything she has a problem with I do anyway so...

1.) Yeah, you can turn off chat. But I thik there is a language filter.
2.) It is rated teen; 13+ for you yes, for you sister I don't know. (probably not)

4.) Worth the $30, worth $40 in my opinion. No fees to play! :D
 
That's not what she meant... anyway the hi skirt low neck bugged her... yes I know that's not what midriff means I kinda worded it wrong she doesn't like the exposed stomach thing I guess.

Anyway the big thing that bugged her was false gods... I saw in a screenshot sommin about "Korea is now in the favor of the gods" or something.
