neone know how to setup the whole xbox live thing

ok so i just got my 360 lee7 and i was super stoked.i plugged everything in and plugged the ethernet cord into my cumputer and nothing neone know how im suppose to set it up. im pluggin the ethernet into my lappy which is wireless
 
1) You will need a crossover cable
2) You will need to setup internet sharing from the wireless to the ethernet
3) I don't know enough about the xbox live service to give any more tips

Or, if you have a router connected to your cable modem, just plug the Xbox 360 into that. =)
