Here we go.. this is what I'm planning on buying. Wanted to put it up for folks to look at and make suggestions. Budget is pretty key. I am getting it all for $319.00.

Any suggestions, changes, or compatibility issues anyone notices would be appreciated! :)

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103932)

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130254

GPU: (Already have) EVGA GT 430

RAM: SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) 4GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146740)

Power Supply: 585W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339012)

CPU Fan/Heatsink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118090

Case: Micro ATX Tower (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154103)

DVD Burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151233

Thanks for any input. I'm always nervous when I'm starting to put this stuff together.

You could get this processor and not have to get a cooler. It is a slightly better processor and comes out cheaper too.

Gigabyte always makes solid motherboards and is worth looking into. (This is essentially gigabyte's verson of the motherboard you linked.)

It ends up being a little more expensive because of the daily special prices on some of the items and the bundling I did. But I already submitted my order and had it confirmed (they confirmed it really fast, like 10 minutes) so I couldn't make changes. haha. I'm locked in!

Thank you for looking over everything. I appreciate it :)

Not to bad for 320$$$....

I'm building one as well from the ground up...here are my specs

i5 core i5 core
Motherboard Motherboard
Graphics Card
Ram 8Gigs
Power Supply
Hard Drive
Windows 7
CD drive
and the case HAF Case

Should run ultra SC2 and any other games...but i gotta wait like 6 weeks to fully buy all the parts =\

You're going to need a bigger power supply! The 380 is gonna choke on all that.

You'll need like a 650w+

The GPU says:

System Requirements
Minimum 500 Watt Power Supply Requirement

Also, any reason you want an intel processor? AMD aren't quite as good, but you can get an equivalent speed for 30-40% less.

Just a thought! Haha.

Actually there were tests run for the power supply and everything in total for this computer will only pull 360w. Granted a 650W wouldnt fail ever but 380 shouldnt have a problem.

Xaveor has the same computer already built with a 380w and it runs perfectly.

And I just like intel? haha no reason i picked, i just know they run well.

I was thinking of going to an i7 instead but i'm not sure. Price is way different but would it be worth it for the preformance?

No way man, to run this system on less then 500watt is dangerous, you risk damaging parts as well as you are creating a bottleneck for performance. You gotta get a better PSU. Kinda silly to pay good money for good parts and then underpower it. You can get a 585watt PSU for less than that one you listed.

Totally true. It would suck to blow your power supply and have it damage the motherboard or GPU. It's really important to get a power supply that gives enough power.. otherwise you risk destruction.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...71511-Latest-_-PowerSupplies-_-17339012-L011A is 24.99 with the promo code "EMCKCJE25" and has a mail in rebate if you send it in. It's a 585W power supply. I'd suggest going with that just for safety sake :)

hmmm

I think i'll get it. What your saying is a very viable point....i'm just going off of what i've been told from teamliquid.net (sc2) from ppl actually on the team.

Definitely get at least a 500w PSU - you'll be totally bummed if your system dies on that 380w PSU. I fried a MOBO doing that once! That was back in my "inexperienced" PC building days. And a bigger PSU gives you room to expand later. GPU's are getting more and more power hungry these days.
