New Steam update

So This new update comes out It auto downloads and I proceed to play on the server. Within 7 minutes I crash and have to restart the hole computer, get back on and play for another 10 minutes and another crash and restart. I join the server and people are dropping left and right and lots of odd stuff going on.

Crashed a third time and gave up for now and checked Steampowered.com forums and appartnly almost Everyone is having the same problems oh joy.
How long do they test these patches it took me 7 minutes to find the problem and if many people are complaining about it less then an hour of it being out a bet the majority of players are having problems...
 
when was this? i played for like a few hours today at friends house and had no probs
 
Couple hours ago it was released let me check exact time Steampowered lists changes at July 22, 2004, 6:26 pm. Check the forums its great theres like 400 posts of people who cannot play cs.
 
I chrashed twice last night after I installed the patch. One was memory error and another one was something about a file not being read.
 
I just got the update and have had no problems using CZ. I havent had chance to check out CS on ToJ though. If there is a problem it will be 100% certain to mess my machine up.
 
any idea how to fix the problem? I haven't check yet because I still don't have my computer back but when I get it I'ld like to kno how to fix it :-p
