New WAR: Wrath of Heroes beta...guts the PvE, leaves PvP

Let us know when it goes open beta. I'd be interested in taking it for a spin, if only out of dedication to DAoC nostalgia.

And I'm guessing there are still only two factions?
 
its 6v6v6 and cross faction can be on same team, not even sure faction plays a part.

I love how the battlefields are straight out of WAR but reimaged.
 
Sounds like micro-RvR. Like DAoC on a lunch break.
 
Right now, they only have 2 scenarios available: one is an arena style 3 team free for all, and the other is a redesigned Mourkain Temple that works more like a 3-node Arathi Basin with a central artifact to try to take and hold once your team has control of 1 or more nodes/flags to increase point gains. The game has been quite fun, and they seem to be running the beta each and every weekend with a little bit more added each week. There are some new classes like the Vampire, Lich, and Skaven to name a few. There is a lobby chat, website ladder, and eventually a store. Games can be fiercely competitive...I had one of my last games end with all three teams extremely close in score, and my team only lost by one single point to another team. It was intense. Fun to play for a quick game or several. Can't wait to see what more is on the horizon.
