Holy necropost, batman. Took me a while to figure out what happened!
Funny enough, had my own Linksys get hit by lightning, was given a hand-me-down Belkin, and having these same problems. I'm probably just going to buy a new one if I can't DD-WRT it or something, because I get dropped far too often and have to hit the "fix me" button.
It's like...they knew it was bad, but rather than fix the problem they created a button for it...
I'd definitely recommend folks look for a multitude of reviews on sites like Newegg/Amazon rather than believing a single "review" (ad) in a magazine.
