Even the greatest of benevolent dictators needs some time with the family now and then. We'll be heading off to Michigan, leaving the house at 5AM EST Friday, and arriving at Detroit Metro later that morning. I'll be a groomsman at one of my best friend's weddings, then head over to Grand Rapids where my wife's old college rommate has just adopted a new baby boy. After a few days of newborn insanity, we'll finish the trip in Chi-Town for some sightseeing and fly back to sunny Florida from there.

So, if any guild members are in Western Michigan (lower part, we won't be hitting the UP) or in the greater Chicago area, and you'd like to meet the benevolent dictator and his lovely family, let me know via this forum and we'll try to fit you into our schedule (probably for a meal as we're driving through your town). :)
 
ugh...I'm transplanted from Chicago. Lived there my first 20 or so years...my family is still up there. I now reside in Louisiana. Traded Blizzards for Hurricanes. Anyhow be safe, have fun, and if you aren't sure what to do or where to go, or if someplace is cool, let me know.

(the old time Saturday Night Live Folks (John Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, etc.) did a skit on it because the Greek people that own it are...unique :))
 
I'll actually be going through Grand Rapids this afternoon. My family and wife's family both live there. I'd be thrilled to meet you some time while you're here!
