I played during the beta. At that time, the game was effectively Tribes II + walking for 20 minutes to reach your destination.

It may have gotten better since then, but I'm wary of any Sony MMO.
 
well ive heard dudes talkin about how they changed some stuff but i always use warpgates or drop pods to get where im going
