Prayer request for the loss of a friend

I'm still a bit in shock, but I have just learned my friend Caroline Moulder was among those killed nearly two weeks ago when a charter helicopter crashed in Afghanistan. Caroline, her mother, and her sister were in Afghanistan visiting her father, who works as a contractor at the army base. To the best of my knowledge, all three were saved; they were very active in their church.

Caroline was seventeen and a member of my dance troop. My dance instructor sent out an email to everyone in the troop, but due to Yahoo problems it ended up in my spam folder, where I just stumbled across it. And I never knew Caroline's mom's name, I had forgotten her sister's name (only met her once), and had also forgotten Caroline's last name. So I never connected her with the news story, which I vaguely remember hearing.

Please pray for Caroline's family and for her best friend Kate (also in my dance troop) who is having a very rough time of it. Also pray for my dance troop, Seshambeh Dance Company, and the beginner's troop (which they used to be in), The Ahad Dancers. Among Seshambeh, Caroline, Kate, and I have been the only practicing Christians (though we are well-set for aetheists, agnostics, and various types of pagans).

I will be praying for you MM as well as everyone involved. May God provide strength and ease all hearts, minds, and souls, of those that knew or were affected by the passing of Caroline, her mother, and sister. (it was all 3 right?)

Thanks. Yes, all three were killed. Looking at the next article at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, I THINK they were killed before making it to the base to see her dad.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear the news, MM. My condolences to the family members and to your dance troop, they must be taking this hard. :(

A picture of Caroline, taken about a year ago. I was finally able to blog my tribute to her.

I'm so sorry. i have seen how the lose of a friend affects a family (my brother lost a friend when he had a seizure* and fell onto his pillow and suffocated) I am praying right now.
