That's right! Prepare prepare! The Celestial Ox is coming and he's hungry! What a better way to show Christ's love than to feed the Celestial Ox during his visit to Shing Jea! Tho is it of no importance, if this Ox is pleased, he may even grace us with a miniature version of him! However, we can't do this alone! So I'm calling all members of SoE/SOE and the Alliance to keep a weather eye out for ingredients to the Celestial Ox's favorites dishes. I'll leave you guys a list and the most common creature to.. acquire said item from and I'll prepare the storage for his meal and let you know how much more we need. Remember, the Ox comes 8 times in the day, so we need 8 times of everything! For the time being, come see His Traveling Monk to drop off anything you find that might be pleasing to the Ox and then kick back in the official Alliance District: District 77! Have a wonderful Canthan New Year!

Yay mini pets... so how does this work? Is there a certain time on New Year that we gather or what? That is... if I have griffon wings, how do I put my part in and still make sure I have a little ox follow me around?
 
Well, I will be collecting all the materials and will distribute them to Alliance members during the finale. So all you need to do right now, is give me/or someone to give to me, whatever you can donate make sure your at one of the 8 finales.
 
When is it? Around the middle of February? I think I have some items. I'll have to check one of my mules.
 
Last year the Festival was from Friday, February 8th to Monday, February 11th, 2008. Sunday, February 10th, was the Finale.

2007 showed the Festival from Friday, February 16th to Monday, February 19th with the Finale on Sunday, February 18th.

So we are looking at the beginning/middle of Feb. In a perfect world I would like to have everything ready by the end of January. That gives us just under 3 weeks to get all those items.

Some of you guys may be familiar with the term "hosting" or "sponsoring" an event. That is what we are gonna do. We are going to host a district and show God's love during the finale by providing a 100% guarantee to all the Alliance and anyone else who hears the word that our district, Dis 77, will be sponsored by the Spirit of Elijah Alliance.

So he rewards all people in the alliance with that minipet if we get it?

I'll see what I can do about items, but don't expect much from me, since i'm certainly no PvE regular.
 
The Canthan New Year will probably be early this year. The Chinese New Year starts January 26, not in February this year. It is the year of the Earth Ox.

well the farming run didn't go so well last night.

So far I have 3 Azure remains and 2 half-eaten blobs.

Hope to find more tonight
 
If we have a chance to go out this weekend we want to pick up some items - can you give us an update of where we stand or a list of what you still need?

I don't have much in my inventory (I did a fall cleanup to make room) but I can go after some specific items as I work on my vanquishing.
 
STC, when you get a chance, update your first post with what items are still needed. I found two Azure Crests in my storage. I also have 8 Celestial Essences and 7 Dragon Roots, but those are set already.
