Not a big fan of their ideas myself..but of course, as ridiculous as it sounds, we should always consider the possibility of intelligent aliens being the source of our origin.

Why is it ridiculous? Simply because an idea is not orthodox does not make it any less possible.

No it is not intelligent design theorists saying aliens put the 'seed' of life on earth. Intelligent design theorists are saying that a greater power of some kind designed the way things happened.

The scientists and professors I was referring to are evolutionists who believe aliens planted the 'seed' here but then had nothing to do with how it developed.

I think you missed my point though. The theory that aliens planted life here does nothing to support their theory of evolution. Where did the aliens come from? We Christians can now use the same arguement with them as they use with us. Their question to us is always 'where did God come from?'

They are starting to realize that the odds of macro evolution just happening is so slim that it is for all intents and purposes impossible. ack I said the word...before anyone responds with the arguements about what impossible means :) I know what impossible means, that is why I added the phrase 'for all intents and purposes' :)

Aliens? I think it was Big Foot...

A greater power can mean lots of things, including aliens. If you think about it, God is an extraterrestrial.

Your not understanding my point MaxX. Intelligent designers believe that a greater power (you can call it an alien if you want...it makes no difference in my arguement) had control of and continued to monitor how things evovled. The scientists and professors I referred to do not believe that the 'aliens' had anything to do with how life 'evolved' after they supposedly planted the 'seed' of life on earth.

Therefore, the alien planted 'seed' (without the intelligent design part of the equation) theory does nothing to support the theory of evolution in general. Where did the aliens who planted the seed come from? Did they evolve on a lifeless planet before they supposedly planted life here? It is a senseless arguement for the people making it. Based on faith just as the whole theory of evolution is.

Yes I know, my belief in creation by the one and only God of the universe is also based on faith. I freely admit that.
