Gilga

So last night my wife let my (9-yr old) stepson and I play an MMO together for the first time evah! Of course it was just "Fusion Fall," the semi-free browser-based Cartoon Network MMO that is just one step above, or to the side of, Hello Kitty Island Adventure. But it was an MMO!

Of course he loved it ... 30 minutes after he was supposed to be asleep he was still yelling from his room "MOM -- I have a homework assignment for you to give me tomorrow ... write a paragraph about how awesome Fusion Fall is..." And she of course responded "go to sleep or you're never going to play that game again" so this may be a short-lived MMO phenomenon.

But first baby step ... maybe I'll have him in WoW in 3-4 years .....

Awesome!! We need a mini Gilga in the guild..

I just need to get my girlfriend to try WoW... not so it would be easier for me to play or anything.... i mean ...we could always use another ...... healer right yeah ill go with that cause we need another healer... :D

Yeah the 450 voluptuousness skill would definitely be an issue in my house, too ... but my wife can't get past the "evil looking green monster thing" on the original WoW box so load screens remain just a dream...

Oh that is where you've been....

My daughter has been playing mmo's since she was about 6 when I was playing Everquest. She's currently a member of Redeemed also.

I made a deal with her to let her keep playing wow as long as she keeps her straight A's in school. So far she has managed to keep them up.

work faster heh, my 9 year old son played WoW a few times last year:P

My 8 yr old has Firecold in the guild, but Jeresther (Mom) doesn't pay (too much school work) for her account anymore so he can't play. Oh well, he's a Wii/Xbox junky anyway. Maybe in the future. :):)

I got an account for my 12 y.o. grandson to help challenge him to read since iti is a reading intensive game. My wife actually went along with the idea. He is a good kid and does have some learning disabilities including reading. So this is challenging him. His 14 y.o. brother had his account not paid for due to grades/attitude. Pray for him. These kids have challenges I never faced in that their grandparnets are having to raise them. Talk about issues. But I insist that they hang arond the right kind of folks online and irl. And our p.c.s are in open places in the family room where all can see what is goin on.

again..lets go back to the original subject of gilga....make a new post for Jad....ooooo thats an idea

I don't mind sharing my threads! Besides, it would totally break precedent for one of these threads to actually stay on the subject that I started talking about in the first place.
