PUG raid rules

Elihu

Tribe of Judah Staff Manager
Redeemed has currently suspended guild raid runs, however all members are currently able to do PUG's to their own content. Here are some basic rules to go along with that as they do effect the guild in other ways.

1. No PUG raids are to be placed on the guild calendar until otherwise notified.

2. You may inform guild members of starting or needing members for a PUG in guild chat, but please keep these announcements to one or two per run. Any abuse in this area will result in this being revoked and possible guild chat demotion.

3. Vent may be used for PUG groups that are led by a Redeemed guild member. This means we may have people from other guilds in our vent from time to time. Please be a good example for them to follow.

If you have any questions or are unsure about any of these please contact myself or Icthus. Thank you.

do we really wanna be giving out our Vent info?
that usualy ends up with someone shouting profanities in our vent err something..

is there a way to make is so pug people can only get into one channel so they wont have free roam?

At this point in time, Icthus and myself feel that we are willing to put up with some griefers to expose them to our Christian environment. This will be a training tool we need to explain to people over all. It will require more administrators on the vent server and we will more than likely be making that happen very quickly.

I'll volunteer my services as a vent admin if needed. Eli, you are aware of the <CC>< servers I am already an admin on. Just let me know...

Thanks Flame, I'll keep that in mind for sure. Anyone else that would like to volunteer for an admin position let me know. Icthus and I will more than likely be putting some people in place for it soon.

i'll do it as needed. i dont have much experience with vent. the only real admin stuff i've done is on a counter strike server.

good times..
i'm usualy on later in the evening/early mornings if that matters

I know we aren't used to pug raids only in the guild so I thought it prudent to post a few important things to consider.

1. The pug raids don't share invite lists. Its actually more of a competition to get you into their raid. Please don't say yes to more than one raid leader.

2. Go prepared with food, flasks, snowballs, shiny disco balls etc...

3. Check the loot rules before you start so you aren't surprised later in the raid.

4. If you have to leave, please give the raid leader notice out of courtesy

5. Be the best Redeemed example you can be!

Also just commenting on the PuG people in our Vent...I dont think it's too much to ask them ahead of time before handing out the info to please 'mind their manners' ...to just be courteous. If someone's not willing (which i doubt anyone would outright say no to that lol) then find someone else.

It would be nice if we remembered that if we do PUG groups, that we are joining with people who might have different expectations of the raid than we do. We are so used to running our own guild runs, that we forget that in PUGS you have each individual who wants something of their own out of the raid, a good portion of it is selfish wants. They would need to know that amount of time we expect to put into the raid, maybe the bosses we project to hit- say you wanted to do a Naxx run but didn't care if you finished the whole instance, picked up some pugs but didn't let them know it might not be a full run, they might be a bit miffed.

Since we have mostly kept to all guild, we don't face these issues, but might want to consider them so we don't leave a bad taste for raiding with Redeemed in other peoples minds.
