Questing = good XP in BC

For people without prior BC experience I found this post helpfull to get started. I also remember a dev stating they beefed up quest experience and toned down repetitive mob killing (grinding). Not that you cant do it, its just not encouraged by the devs...

"There is a total of 166 Horde Quests in Hellfire Peninsula and Zangarmarsh zones together.

They give an avg of 8500 XP per quest (some more some less).

166 * 8500 = 1,411,000 XP just from Quest turn ins. Now this doesn't account for all the mobs killed while doing the quests (and many of them require you to kill specific mobs). Especially the mobs in the instances. HFC - Ramparts & Bloodfurnace, CR - Slave Pens & Underbog.

My estimate would be that doing the full 166 quests with all the XP from kills would net you about 3 Million XP. Enough to get to level 64+."

that seems about on par with my experience in beta. I had finished about 3/4 of all the quests available in those two zones combined and was almost 63.

Where is the Honor? Or did you mean to type XP instead?

it really is XP that he's talking about, although I did hit friendly and most-way to honored with HH with my priest with just doing a few quests and a few runs thru HC:R

I'm about 1000 honor away from honored with HH.. this is good as there's some very nice honor loot avail..
