Question about the site / group

Hey all, I'm new here. My question is simple. I'm wondering what the group is about. I checked the FAQ and it's empty. I've looked around quite a bit and haven't found any kind of "mission statement" anywhere. I realize that this is a christian gaming group, but what does that entail? I guess I'm looking for fellowship, but also for timely information regarding games from a christian standpoint. What games do you guys consider acceptable for yourselves? What types of games are enjoyed most? What are your reasons for the games you play (or don't play). I know, a lot of questions, but I'm curious about these things. I've been looking for a group like this, but I just want to make sure about what it is the group believes.

Thanks for any replies or any links to other areas that I may have missed that already address these questions.

*hangs head in shame* It's true, we are woefully short on documentation. I'm currently writing a list of goals for CGA in 2005 and documentation is high on the list.

y0 - If you want to post any other questions here, please do. It will help me know what we need to put in the FAQ. Those who have been around in a while wouldn't necessarily think of the same questions as someone who just discovered CGA, so your input would be especially helpful.

Thanks so much for the replies. I'm a big gaming fan myself. I'm 31, married with 2 great kids. I've recently re-joined the Lord after 11 years of thinking I could do things better alone. Obviously that was a ridiculous idea.
Now I'm trying to "clean house" so to speak. I want to make sure I set a better example for my kids. So some things will obviously have to go, like my GTA: San Andreas game. Just not very good subject matter.
I'm a huge Xbox player, particularly on Live. I love Ghost Recon 2, Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball, Need For Speed Underground 2 and the new KOTOR. If any of you use live, feel free to send me a FR. My GT is digex . I don't play against general public for the simple fact that I can't deal well with the poor sportsmanship out there.
I belong to a group of adult gamers and we game together almost exclusively. From what I've found it's the only way to go for online gaming. It allows me to play with people who act like reasonable individuals and not screaming lunatics filled with hate. I don't know if there's anything like that here, but if so, let me know for sure.

Anyway, thanks again for the replies. The site seems to be very nice and I hope it thrives. I think I'll stick around for a bit and see how things go. I sure would like to find a group of like-minded gamers to have fun with. I look forward to learning more about your group! Thanks for letting me in.

If you need some docs then toj is pretty filled out and consitutes very similar lines to cga.

Like I said, mainly Xbox. I play GR2, NFSU 2, Greg hasting's tournament paintball. On the PC I like the new half life. I also play KOTOR II on the box. I just traded Halo 2 because I can't deal with the people that play it. I traded in my PStwo, GTA:SA and Halo 2. Got a new Logitech wireless headset to go with my wireless controller and a gift card with ~ $50 on it. Sort of nice now to be able to sit in my easy chair across the room and not have any cords at all! Loving it. Played some GR 2 tonite and really had a good time. The new headset works really well. GR 2 is definitely one of my favorites, especially playing with people I'm familiar with. Like I said, I play with a group of folks and it's really nice that whenever I play I can recognize almost every name on the server. Hoping to get some play time in with this group, if any of them are Xbox players. PC games are cool, but I really like the system that live has. Just works really well for me (strictly a personal opinion, not making any statements here).
