Interesting insight. I've also heard the "if you're not being bothered or tried, you're not doing the right thing" theory.

Theory being that Satan doesn't worry about people who aren't really living the Christian life, instead he tampers with the lives of those Christians who are living right, in hopes of throwing them off track, thus keeping them from converting new believers.
