Recommendations for wireless Playstation 2 controller?

I'd like to start playing Playstation 2 games from my couch, but don't want to spend a lot of money on a wireless PS2 controller.

Does anyone have any wireless PS2 controllers they'd recommend?

Two local Gamestop locations have used Pelican brand wireless PS2 controllers for $15 each.

The ps3's controller is pretty nice. It uses a standard mini usb plug, so you can charge it off of practically any machine.

Personally I would look at trying to get an extension cable for your existing controller, that would add 6 feet or so. Then you know things will work (so long as you don't try to make a chain 20+ feet long) and wont need to worry about batteries. Monoprice doesn't have any :\ but amazon does.

I personally just use a Madcats(z?) wireless controller. Has worked faithfully for me so far, plus has nice rubber grips on the side.

I bought these long ago when my friends and I played RoTK series all the time. takes 4 AA batteries, but they last a long, long time.

I ended up buying the Katana Wireless Playstation 2 Controller (except in black, not silver).

One of the buttons didn't work on the first controller, so I exchanged it today and the new controller seems to work.

I'm going to keep the receipt handy anyway, in case I find any flaws with this controller, too.
