SATA vs IDE

My new MoBo has both SATA and IDE interfaces (2 each), which I will be switching to tonight.

My old system has 2 ATA/100 7200 RPM IDE drives (80Gb and 160Gb).

Should I upgrade to the SATA, will I see any difference?

SATA is a little trickier to get to be your bootup drive for windows, during the OS install you have to load the dirvers by pressing F6.

If you don't need those ata hard drives..i could sure use an upgrade

Hrm? When I used my 160 GB, it had no problems...without pressing F6.

I was installing XP SP1, maybe that had to do with it.
