Anyone else having trouble connecting to the servers? I checked and they say they are up, but the client just sticks on the splash screen.

I had problems as well. I couldn't log into any of the West Coast servers. I checked the SWTOR forums and their Twitter feed but nothing was posted initially, other than a lot of postings from members. AllisonBerryman eventually posted that they were working on the problem and eventually got the servers back up. They never said what the issue was, but they were down for over an hour or so.
