Should we ask for a week off in STA or not

Would you guys like a short break in STA or shall we continue straight through to the next season? After talking with STA (If we understood each other correct) next week is another map play test but afterwords it goes right into season two. If we are going to take any break in the schedule next week would be best. I don't have long to run the poll before I need to ask for a bye if we want one. On one hand we could use the practice but then be prepared for the possibility of playing without breaks for another month plus (so you know we got into season one when they had already played 2-3 games).

Note: So you know we will be continuing in STA 8 vs. 8 for another season regardless.

I think a break could be useful from the actuall tourny. Though I would like to see some scrims during the break.

Honestly, playing with a team yesterday at our skill level gave us some time (because we did not get decimated immediately in the first clash) to be self-aware of our strengths and weaknesses and learn a lot from it. So I felt I learned a lot more yesterday than in most of our STA matches when we were clearly outmatched.

So we need more practices like that; not against clan members, since we are too familiar to each other's playing habits, but against other teams that are at current level or slightly better.

Right now, it seems to me these play test STA matches are our only current means of obtaining these type of matches. I would like to not miss these opportunities.

I totally agree with Omega. When we've gotten owned in the past, we haven't had the opportunity to accomplish much. I thought last night was really good as far as seeing how we can work together and improve our team.

It might be a good idea to break from STA for a week and plan a scrim or two against other Christian clans. Christian Crew and Soldiers of Christ come immediately to mind.

We'll be playing on through now so the poll is closed.

Also Christian Crew does not have a match team (though there was some talk about them making one as one point) so they aren't an option to practice with. I've tried posting in Soc's forums about practicing but didn't get a response. I'll try getting in touch with them again at some point. Last I knew their match night was Thursday so it conflicts with our open game night. Also previously they have only been interested in 6 vs 6 matches.
