Sniper rifles stink

Wow... I would love to knock this guy down a peg or two...  He just sounds like someone that has been pwned by an awm (that's right artic warfare magnum).  It's clear that he himself must have no skill to not be able to combat a sniper...

I love the feeling I get when I beat a sniper... it's like 'ha ha you and your big boom stick got beat by a weak glock or tmp'  it's even better when you know where they like to camp and flank them to knife kill them that's the true skill of beating a sniper.

Besides the point of there being different versions of snipers... not all are one shot one kill... not even the awp.... it's close but not always a kill.  I have lived through a shot and guess what the awper is usually dead when they miss, there is no second shot once it's fired.

I do understand that when entire teams start sniping the gameplay lowers but guess what.... WORLD NEW FLASH ! ! !

IT'S A GAME ! ! !

find a new way to have fun in it or don't play... simple, but he really doesn't need to bad mouth a nice part of a multiplayer game... specially when the game (including having snipers rifles) has been around longer then he has probably even known of it.

Wow, that article was funny. Imma had a dude an awp and then hand him ak and see what he does better with: Trying to hit moving/strafing target shooting back at him (while he is standing still) or running around whole map and possibly running into somebody and then start spraying to kill.

The fact of the matter is it does take skills to awp. Any GOOD awper can tell you that. As far as ak and colt they take lots of skill to but I learned them much quicker than my awp to tell you the truth. This guy was just mad that he isn't that good at awping and doesnt' like the gun.
 
This guy has issues... Comparing weapons in a game to real life weapons. I think he takes this too far. It's a game. Not supposed to be historically or realisticly accurate. If it was, the government would use it to train the military. Now lets hope and pray he doesn't go on a shooting rampage to prove snipers are not one-shot-kills because hardly anyone agrees with him.

i agree- its a game, made to be FUN. and trust me, 1) killing people from far away with a large weapon is FUN and 2) killing someone who has a large weapon from behind or even from in front while they're shooting at you is FUN. I don't care if they're noobish and easy to use, i enjoy playing against campers cause it adds challenge.
 
Oh yeah almost forgot: This gun doesn't know much about guns. 1 shot from an awp would kill you in real life, if you ever looked at the gun itself it shoots .338 bullets. I being a gun person have a friend with a .338 and when he shoots at a solid target....well lets just say it wouldn't survive unless, like the game you were hit in the furthest extremities.
 
He presents a good arguement. I have thought some of this for a long time. Some of my favorite servers used to be those that disabled awm/awp. Ahh well, we all have our opinions, eh?

But, as I have been told before, its part of the game, and thats fine.

I can live with that. But you guys have to live with the shields, which is very good at stopping camping snipers.

I'll have to agree, I've always been an anti-sniping person, but that's prolly just because I'm the sux0r at awping...

now if you can kill me with a scout, I'll give you props...

I myself am a hunter and gun person cuz im a redneck duh.

Ive seen what big guns like that can do to a deer and target (such as ak47 to target). Its not pretty and 2 shots to the chest would most certainly kill you in real life. But this all goes back to the major point of this: ITS A GAME AND ONLY A GAME.

Laf, u should've seen Whon once, he was actually pwnin like 20 awpers alone with that nifty auto-sniper of his... :o its crazy i tell j00, awp isn't that hard to beat really, if u learn to predict ur foe's move.
 
The trick is to not stand still or kneel when you go against them. At least you get a few rounds off, opposed to his one. I don't mind going against most snipers but there are a few I know of that I wouldn't win against...
