sounds like new ut 4 will come

With the UT franchise on hold, the Quake franchise (probably?) dried up, and every new AAA FPS favoring realistic weaponry (no, Bulletstorm does not count), I'm wondering where the next big arena FPS is going to come from and who's going to be making it. We've got an overabundance of YAMS (Yet Another Military Shooter) but the arena FPS genre is looking pretty sickly right now.

I guess there's always Xonotic. And, of course, UT3. But as player numbers dwindle, I can't help but wonder what's on the horizon for those of us who would take a rocket launcher that doesn't require a reload over a M4A1 any day of the week.
 
It's no more than mere speculation on my part, but we probably won't see a AAA arena shooter at all in quite a while. Things come and go, and eventually we'll spread the YAMS acronym across the internet until people are fed up and ready to go back to fast-paced scifi.
