I am interested in speeding up our computer's boot time. It seems to take a
billion years due to our Internet Security things. I looked at msconfig and it
appears we have tons of junk (mainly microsoft!) that is probably clogging up
the computer. We have Norton Anti-Virus and Norton Internet Security and I
understand that it contributes to our boot up time but it's driving me insane.
I took some screenshots of msconfig's tab "services" because I'm too lazy to
type all of them out. And you can't copy - paste.
I was hoping if any of you could help me figure out which ones are unnecessary and I could disable for bootup.
BTW, there is an option called "Diagnostic Boot-Up". It boots up the minimal amount of services for your computer. However, will they load by themselves if I launch a program that I need them for?
