Status of ToJ CS Server

exodus

Hey everyone.

Just wanted to keep you all up to date on whats going on with the server.

Elite and I are currently in the process of getting some things installed on the server, and once we get those setup (including an admin mod and a swear filter among other things) we will be removing the password.

For the meantime, the password will continue to be t0j0nly until further notice. Feel free to give out the password to any friends, as long as they understand the rules of the server (since we can't post them yet).

Have fun.

Bah!

For Admin mod, you need to use a hand installer, not the java script installer since it cannot recognize the steam directory. They have a new dll taht fits the steam server. For AMX mod, im still working on it.

we found some instructions on the steampowered.com forums last night.

If elite doesn't get it in the next day or two, we may recruit some help, thanks for the offer!

Hi...

I haven't been around in awhile, tho I've been in ToJ for a few years. I actually travelled all summer for my college, so I haven't played CS in about 4 months. Just wondering, is the server running 1.6 now? My motherboard blew, and another's in the mail, so it'll be about two weeks before I'm able to play again. Just trying to be prepared. Thanks tho!

And Zelly, if you read this, after 4 months I can still pwnz0r you =P

Sorry guys, I have been hitting the books lately for my certifications. I haven't had time to mess with the AMX stuff as of yet. I will dedicate some time this weekend to doing so, as I know you all are getting anxious to get in there and pwn some pub nubs.

We'll get it running, so hang in there.

Thx

Cerifications?? Which ones you getting bro I may be able to help you! Just holla if you need help with Cisco/Net+/A+ and basically anythign else network or comp related.

Fellas, I appreciate the offers. As far as the server, Exodus and I have it all taken care of. I might ask you a few questions, though, Flash.

Dead Aim...I am taking A+/Net+/MCSE. I am breezing through them, as I've had a few years experience in doing this stuff, just getting that piece of paper if you know what I mean.

I have a pretty funny Dilbert cartoon that deals with certification that I hang on my bulletin board at work. Helps keep me sain when dealing with developers and consultants who are "Certified".

It has Dilbert in front of a computer with a guy wearing a cape and a big letter C on his chest. The guy with the cape says "Step away from that network server! I'm CERTIFIED!". The next scene has him sitting in front of the server waiving his hands in the air saying "I summon the vast power of CERTIFICATION!". The last scene has him looking puzzled saying "Well, this is embarrassing; That's all I remember from the classes."

I am just glad you already have the experience and are just going to get the paper. Too many "Certified" techs out there who only crammed for the exam and have no practical experience.
