Hey everyone,
This post has a story to it, i will try and keep it short.
My dad got his G.E.D and went into the service right away... my mom graduated highschool and did the same thing. MY older brother also got his G.E.D. and then went and got married and has an amazing Job and a large Family with 4 kids! My younger brother Joshua just graduated highschool a year ago and is now in the military.
I... AM STARTING COLLEGE THIS FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know for many people, going to college is just something you do... it is expected... some people don't care about college. I will be the first person in my family to ever go to college and get a degree.
The first, on both sides... It is such an awesome feeling. God gave me a miracle. I decided a few weeks ago I was done working dead-end jobs, done trying to find something better that I knew I would not like anyway. I filled out my FAFSA, applied to the school and have been doing back and forth stuff with the school for the last week for paperwork and what not.
I went this morning to drop off the last bit of paperwork and was preparing to wait to hear from financial aid if they could do anything with the semester starting in just 2 weeks. I turned in the paper and verified everything with a nice lady in the FA office... she smiled and said my "awards" were out on the student site and I could check them out and accept them whenever I wanted.
On the drive back to my place I prayed, and begged God... every penny was going to count... i said.. 500$... 1,000$ would be something I could work with... it would get me started atleased and I could go from there.
I pull up and slowly walk upstairs to my room and go to the site... praying... for something... anything... to make my dream a reality... and do you want to know how good God is? How faithful He is? How much He loves us?
I get to go to school, for free... my financial aid is covering everything...
I think I must have sat here and cried... for 10 minutes... staring at the screen... feeling Gods love... I called my mom... we cried together...
Praise God...
Bachelors in MIS, here I come!
So the fate of the Blu One... is 100%... in Gods loving... trusting... giving... caring... safe... Hands.
Amen,
Nathanial
