Ok, guys, sure it is fun at times to pick on people, to a point... but I think this has gone to far. I enjoyed the Baxabrug ogre but everywhere I look is a picture of Burg's head on some other picture. When he has made it clear he doesn't waht that to happen, yet you all continue to torment.

Pretty sure as "Christians" we are to uplift our brothers and even enemies. This treatment is far from it.

I ask you all to correct your avatars and appoligize to Brug publicly.
 
im not bothered by it anymore mordos ... they have good intentions and mean no serious harm to me.
besides ive been so busy writing poetry lately , i havent noticed it.
 
I was the one that took it too far. I already posted an apology in a thread and Brug acknowledged it. I also sent him 2 PMs to make sure he understood that it was all in fun and that we love him and not the opposite.

He explained that his ADHD makes him unable to tell between friendly joking and so he got stressed out by it all.

I changed my avatar as well.

BUT I'm not so sure this you can call this Torment from everyone and that everyone needs to publically apologize. I think people were playing along and even Brug was joking as well with his pitchfork links and telling us he was comming after us and whatnot.

I think that is too harsh a judgment on this situation, Mordos. Brug can tell that we enjoy his presence and he makes us all laugh and smile.

Avatars come and go and people who feel led should talk to Brug in PM but I don't agree that there is some gross sin taking place here.

Nonetheless, thanks for keeping out a watchful eye and voicing your concerns as a brother in Christ.

Very well... but I ask this... what good intentions do you think they have? or even what good intentions could come from this?

Peter had good intentions when he cut off the soldiers ear, was it right? I’ve been convicted recently about putting people down or making fun of people. (It’s a good thing… I’ve been praying for it) and I think we can all examine what we do and how we treat others.
 
the good intention here was a silly little joke . it just got a little out of hand and they realized that before it went even farther
 
I was the one responsible for creating "Brugalin's Pitchfork" with the WoW Item Creator on Sunday morning. As I was sitting in church later in the morning, I got to thinking that it might be misinterpreted as mean-spirited, so I intended to post a clarification once I got home. By that time, though, Brug had linked it in one of his own posts, so I figured he was OK with it. :)

Nonetheless, it's always prudent to check not only our motivations, but also how our words and actions might appear from the point of view of the other person (people) involved. And if I caused any offense, it was not intended and I sincerely apologize. I'm usually 'the tactful one', but will admit that I've put my foot in my mouth a time or two (or more...)

Just ask Icthus, he's been there for a few. =)
 
I changed mine a few days ago, I only made an avatar with his face in an anime pic because he likes anime, it wasnt meant as mean spirited and I only kept it for a couple days.
 
Its good to be able to laugh at oneself, not to take things too seriously, its a good lesson. Brug, little buddy we luv you and laugh with you and no one was intending to hurt your feelings. The pitchfork comeback was great. You can post my face on whatever, well...except not a nekkid mole rat please. I still have to put up with citgrad's avatar which is his face on a nekkid mole rat and thats enough punishment :eek:
