This hasn't been answered in the other WoW guild forum thingy

To BF2 or Wow? That is the question.

HELP!!!

Depends upon your desire of play style. I play both BF2 (with Special Forces expansion) and WoW. If I want a quick and dirty fast firefight to get my blood pumping, I'll play a dozen rounds of BF2, but that's about it, once the rounds are over, they're over. WoW on the other hand I play for a much longer (C)RPG fix that takes alot longer, depending upon how much you want to invest in the development of your character (I.E. Do you just want to level up your PC or also work on the professions and what not). So in short if your looking for some "real world" action with modern day armor and weapons go for BF2, if your looking for a longer drawn out play experience with as much depth as you are looking to invest in go with WoW. Either games has its place in the respective genre's.

Hope this helps!

I do the same thing with NFS Most Wanted and wow. If i wanna chat and have a little bit of fun PVP and PVEing i will play wow - which naturally takes longer. But if i get the feeling i wanna race and slam into people with my "sleeper" Porsche Cayman S i will play NFS: MU for an hour or two. (I dont know how a porsche would be a sleeper in any way, shape fashion or form.)

If you like both, then play both.

Hope This Helps

I too struggled with is this appropriate or not. I played another online game for years and it got so bad I could not handle it any longer. Right now I play on the Horde side. I enjoy questing and meeting others. I made a Shaman and love to go around healing others. When I was younger I used to shoot at plastic army men with my BB gun. To this day I don't go around shooting at real people. The point is you can read into the game whatever you want to. Main thing is to just have fun and treat others with respect. We are God's example to others even on this game and even those of us on the Horde side believe it or not. The other day I did refuse to kill a lady elf but bowed to her instead. Then she promptly killed my Shaman. Oh and by the way, I was a Youth Dir. in a church for 15 years, serve as a Lay pastor and am now a Family Counselor. So far I've never seen any ill effects from this game or have I seen any moral sins committed due to it. Just relax and enjoy the game. Better yet, join the Horde on Khaz Modan and HELP ME!!! OK maybe the begging for help went over the top, sorry.

Kinda like Legolas from LOTR (ya know, bow, short sword thing, and the ability to look like Orlando BLoom :p)

Anywho I have Americas Army to tide me over for a while, although its not as good as BF2

Hey... all I found at Wal-Mart (I wasn't gonna buy, just, ya know, browsin' through games) and all I found on the shelf was a 60 day prepaid game card... where's the actual game??

Ok here we go... a few more questions

1. do you have to get those game cards to play
2. what did you mean by "moderate" cleavage"
3. is it like RuneScape when you die you lose everything or do you just collapse in a heap
4. PIE PWNS JOO NUBZ

1. No - you can setup a credit card and have it deducted once a month. Play cards are for folks who dont like the CC setup.
2. I think he means about the revelaing that a bikini top would reveal, not gratuitous but male dominated fantasy type women (preemptive aplogies to all women WoW players for preceeding statement).
3. When you die you assume "ghosted" form and have to a) have a spirit healer ressurect you on the spot with your stuff and lose some XP and maybe gold (I've never chosen this method so I can't really say) or b) run all the way back to your corpse and ressurect with all your stuff albiet slightly less health due to the REZ and have to rest a bit or c) wait until a priest in your group can REZ you. Sometimes the run back to your corpse takes awhile as some "graveyards" are quite a ways from where you died. All in all you never lose your stuff but it does take a "quality" hit and you'll have to pay for it's repair the next time your in a shop. Of course most stuff (weapons, armor and what not) wear out over usage and must be repaired just death can excelerate this.
4. ??????

Doc

lol thank you

but what about bikini topz?? Are they in the game or is that a metaphor cuz I don't think I'd wanna be seeing that all day

Clevage is not a major issue in the game.

you will every once and a while see someone strip to bikini but it is not so much that I feel it is a problem. (now there is a run on sentence for you kids)

"You will every once and a while see someone strip to bikini; But, it is not so much that I feel it is a problem."

Youve failed my english class.

You only see the bikini's - etc if you REALLY want to. You have to take ALL the clothes off (duh). So you have to go out of your way and loose stats/armor doing so.

The only time you will really see women dressed in "bikinis" is usually around the auction house/bank being noobs or begging for money. And the bikinis usually look like white underwear. The women are only moderately "endowed" so its not like it really looks "pornographic" like you may find in some other video games. I allow my 7 and 11 year old to play and it isnt a noticable problem.

Someone stated you lose exp when you die and get rezzed. You dont but you do take a major hit in armor repair whether you are wearing it or just keeping it in your packs (which can cost a bit to repair). and you also take a pretty good stat hit while you have rez sickness.

As for where the game is at walmarts go to the electronics department and look where they keep all the computer software. (look behind stuff in the back bottom shelf..our store stashes about 100 copies of wow there but the people forget to faceout the shelfs alot hehe)

I believe wow still has a 14 day limited free trial so you could check thing out for yourself. Try this link for it:

The best thing to do if you want to eliminate any "inappropriateness" (sp) is surround yourself with great christian fellowship while in game. Then rather then having to put up with some of the behavior and talk you would normally get you get awesome fellowship, clean chat, spiritual edification, and the opportunity to impact the server you're on for Christ. Just thought i'd jump in and add 2 cents. Hope it helps.

ya i guess those are about the worst you'll see but i dont run into them to terribly often on our server as we dont have alot of warlocks and even then its only between certain lvls they usually summon that pet.

I guess its all up to you and where you stand on things. For some its not an issue for others it is. Its really best for you to check it out yourself and decide for yourself. Nowadays no matter what game you play you can find things that are unacceptable. Whether its violence, language, nudity, bad morals etc. We live in a fallen world so just like dealing with the exposure of it in real life we tend to have to deal with it in game to. I guess you have to weigh the benefits against the bad. For me I know there are many young people playing who spend most of their waking hours playing and who really have no real life friends and dont go out much. To me this is an opportunity to let God use me as an exposure of himself to those who may not get that much. While at the same time I am able to surround myself with like minded/hearted people who encourage me and lift me up while we are playing together.
