This looks surprisingly fun

Why did my inner geek go absolutely nuts and start salivating when I saw this? This goes way off the geek-o-meter.
 
At first I thought it was way too nerdy for me. But then if you updated the graphics and possibly did away with the captain position I think it would be absolutely amazing.
 
considering the captain position has no software side, it would be quite easy for a group to play without one. :D
 
I just wish they'd allow us to paint our own ships, like Earth and Beyond did. Almost every former EnB player who found refuge in EvE after EnB shutdown has asked for that, but they deny us. :(
(Actually, with fleet battle lag, I don't blame them.)
 
If only. If only more games would allow multi player control of vehicles. Only thing I can think of is Vendetta online where diff people can control turrets on cap ships, but it is a puny indie game, somewhat dated game with what I believe terribly confusing interface and mechanics. That is however one thing they did right. Small dev team, kinda a niche game.
