Thread deletion policy

I've read the ToJ rules, but sometimes it seems threads disappear around here for no apparent reason other than it is displeasing to the disposition of the moderators...

Is that true? Other than the ToJ rules what other rules do our moderators have over here in Redeemed General land?

The reason I ask is... It's a bummer to get a thread deleted and it would be nice to avoid that.

I deleted and moved the thread to officer forums.

It was clearly in violation of ToJ rules and policies.

It was not the type of post we need here. I am not speaking to any points made by the poster. It simply was unacceptable in terms of this forum and the spirit of Christian unity.
