To all of Redeemed

I'm married and still will have money in my wallet tomorrow as well. For the most part Valentines day is over commercialized. Can't we have a simple day to celebrate our love between each other without spending a wad of cash? Apearantly the people at Halmark don't think so.

Nice that you mention beer...lol...not really, but lets go with it... I turned 21 yesterday, and tried Budweiser Select, and it was nasty, so, do I just not like beer, or did I try the wrong stuff?

Beer is an aquired taste. I'm 27 and dont really like it either heh, I drink maybe 3 beers a year, and corona with lime is what I prefer, Budweiser and most other domestics I have tried are down right nasty.

I think Odale was talking about debeers diamonds:P

Yes. Domestic beers are made with a combonation of Barley, Rice, Maltodextrin, and Yeast. Basically, you are drinking a watered-down version of a real beer. I suggest trying a European beer such as a Killian's Irish Red or Bass Pale Ale. They are relatively malty with a little sweetness, and not too bitter from the Hops. I even brew my own beer, which is a fun hobby. I like to have a beer once or twice a week, but remember not to take it too far. (Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.)

Beer is / can be as complex as wine, and you really can get super snobby about it and focus on pairings and such. General rule of thumb would be - don't skimp - drink 1 on occasion vs 1 with every meal if it's a cost issue. Your taste buds will thank you for it.

I didn't like beer for a very long time. Still don't like most American beers. I can drink a Fosters and usually like a good dark beer and really like a beer called Pyramid Heffevisen spelled incorrectly). Corona is also good. Usually I drink a beer when it's hot and I don't feel like the sweetness of a soda pop (which I don't drink anymore-I won't drink stuff with High Fructose corn syrup in it) Beer tends to be more natural ingredients than pops and a lot of fruit juices.

Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day, mine was quiet.

fat tire is ftl..
same with great white and blue moon.
i like coors or highlife. maybe some heineken..

My personal favorites in beer include:

1. Miller High Life
2. Corona Extra
3. Boulevard Wheat

I love testing out new beers and finding alot of different ones to suit different meals. i have had very few types of beers that I didn't like. But drinking beer is for people who enjoy the taste, and it can be a turnoff for someone who has never had one before to get the wrong beer. Follow Deut's instructions from earlier in this thread and go with a darker malt beer, as they tend to be no so bitter and easier to drink. Once you find a good beer, start branching out and trying others that are close to it first.
