ok todays thursday so helpage is gonna happen, anyone in particular need help with any thiing? i have a high level ele, just barely seared warrior and a n00b level 2 pre-sear necro. so im all over the place.
 
Yep! If those of you playing tonight have the time, we'd love for you to share it with others and help get thing accomplished that may have been trouble spots. It's not a requirement, of course, I just like to think of this as our "Help Others, Not Ourself" night.
 
Depending on family, I'll try to get on around 8:30-9:00 Central. All I have is lvl 20 chars so I understand if you don't want to have them along since it can take some of the fun out of the missions but I'd be happy to help. I've got a good nuker (Ele/Me), a good tank & a decent Ranger (few traps). Just shout if you want some help.

lol... I suppose I need help. But I honestly don't know what to ask for... I'm lvl 14 Mo/Me. I've gotten to LA... Can... um... someone tell me what I need? :)
 
If you are going through the missions, D'Alession Seaboard is next. It's a pretty easy mission and there is a quest in Lion's Arch that will lead you there. Talk to the "Armanthe Guide" in LA and pick up the quest titled "Report to the White Mantle". That will lead you to DS. Shout if you need more info or if I answered the wrong question. :)

Thanks. I've pretty much just been going from mission to mission, letting the game lead me along. I guess what I don't know is if there are any good farming places near LA where good Monk stuff can be aquired.
 
Not really. You can farm the Gates of Kryta mission but they have nerfed it so much that is hardly worth it anymore. That also works best with a nuker. The best farming is still a ways away in the desert. I farm there a lot and I'd be happy to pass on anything you need. Just let me know what you are looking for. You can start making your way to the Temple of the Ages from LA but it's a tough trip especially for a lvl 14 monk. I'd would wait a bit before setting out for TOA. From there you can get into the Underworld & FoW but you have to get to the desert first and ascend.

Ok, I'm getting old but can someone please let the old dude in on what 'woot' means? I keep seeing it around the forums. I gues I'm getting old! :)

1) An interjection similar to "YAYE!" or "Woohoo!" used to express joy or excitement, usually about some kind of accomplishment. Primarily used by gamers, spreading rapidly to anyone who chats online

2)WOOT! is a cheer. Like YAHOO, YAY, WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO. WOOT! is all good.

3)A word originating from the old D&D games, was used to express excitement when finding treasure, the player would say "Wow loot!" thus over time turning into "w00t" in the videogame world, as a form of satisfaction or victory..
"Wow loot!" -- Originating from D&D days..

4)Also fabricated by EverQuest players to mean "I won the battle" or "I leveled" or some other cool event, due to people just asking,"Hey what does that mean?...it sounds cool..does mean huzzah or victory?", and only answering with "uh yeah, sure" or with more woots. This eventually evolved to w00t due to sheer boredom of saying it all the time.

Wow... I'm a DnD player from waaaay back but I guess I just missed that term. I've only played one MMO game so I'm still getting the hang of the terminology. Thanks!
