Joshua 1:9

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

This was my favorite verse growing up and reflecting back on it today, I still see it as a staple to my surviving in this world. I like that it is not just a reminder that He is with us where ever we go but also a command! Be strong! Be courageous!

I didn't feel frightened much in the past few years of life...then my twin girls came along. Now I often go to bed scared. Whether it is the bad cold they are suffering from or the latest bump on the head (or Icthus' dog biting off their fingers)

I am going to remember this verse this next month and the next time I fear of losing my child I will remember to not be frightened as the Lord is with me right then and there.

It is not just being Courageous. You have to be strong. You have to show the strength to those lovely twin daughters. You have to show that your strength comes from the Lord!

If the Lord is with you, how can you fear? Walk boldly in His might!
