TWL League team

I would really like to get a TWL League team going in ToJ. I have been wanting to do it for some time now. There are still matches being played for ut2004, and UT3 is coming up soon. I have never done it before, and i'm not what you'd call a great player, but I would really like to give it a go. Is there anyone else who would like to do it? I wasn't here in the early days of UT2k4, did we have a team in the past? :D

I couldn't commit to playing on the main team, but I would be willing to sign up as a backup player.

Having led a TOJ competition team in the past (principal members were Killerah, Shagz, James, myself, and ColdSteel), I am unfortunately kind of burnt out on the prospect. We had a lot of fun and did pretty well, but eventually we fizzled out due to lack of available time and interest. With UT3 due soon, I don't feel like the dwindling UT2004 community is the proper climate for new competition teams. I know though Tea, that you're really eager about giving this a shot. I don't predict that there will be enough interest for a full 4v4 TDM team but if you want, catch me on Xfire sometime and we can discuss doing a casual 2v2 ladder thing so you can get your feet wet, so to speak.

Plus, in the UT3 leagues, if it comes down to playing for TOJ and playing for LOB on a given ladder, I will have to play for LOB... not because I like them better necessarily, but because, when it comes to competition, they have to have a higher claim on my time and effort. I joined TOJ primarily for casual social play with likeminded people, and I joined LOB to compete and excel. If, when UT3 comes out, TOJ decides to play on ladders other than the ones LOB plays on, then I'd gladly play for TOJ, time permitting.

I was kind of afraid of that, but I kinda thought i'd see if there was any interest of any kind. Time seems to be a commodity that so many people lack these days. I didn't think that there would be much interest, considering a friendly scrim with another clan or even a ToJ game night are nearly impossible to orchestrate. I am hoping that UT3 will bring a renewed interest to this chapter and some new people with a hunger for the game. I realize i'm not exactly competition team material, but I really enjoy the game and want to become a better player and get involved in some friendly league play. I regret that I joined this chapter too late, right when things were fizzling out, I would have had a blast with you guys back then.

If it's a blast you want I got 3 rockets at your feet just waiting for ya! :) :)

I can't do the league thing right now.Maybe in the future. Was I on dial up back then? I think I was. Oh for the good ol days of dialup. 56K rocks!

If anyone wants in on it, the team is here, just as it was before, and the join password is the same as last time (shoot me a PM if you want it).

I'm gonna try to get some scrims in with Capn before we challenge up so we can get down the basics of team communication, item timing, and proper positioning.
