ummm yeah

pretty sure all laptops just use 3.5" drives...nothing special about the drives, just the brackets, which can be moved from one drive to another

...in pcs anyway...
 
well its not a laptop its an imac
and we put in the start up disk and it asked what to run off the hard drive didnt even show up... i have a feeling its a goner

yeah i do think its funny were i had made a post o i love my mac its never had problems! and uh the HD decides it wants to go bye bye *sigh*

now does that mean alll my data on my computer is gone? cause that bites if it does
 
Did you booting with the OS X cd in the drive and seeing if you can do a "repair permissions"? (after selecting utility mode or something like that)
 
yeah we tried... when we put in the cd and it comes up with the options on waht to boot with the hard drive wasnt even an option... and it just kinda looked at us
right now my dad is working on it so we shall see how it goes
 
i actually am back up and running!
we got a seagate 500gb Hd and installed it ourselves.... took forever to download all the updates and still have more and still have to download wow *sigh*
 
btw wow i think is going to take longer to download then leopard did.... isnt that just plain wrong?
so ummm yeah can someone private message me vent so i can join yall =)
