Unreal Tournament 2004 $12.98 shipped.

Wow. I paid $46 for UT2004. Of course, I bought the UT2004 2-DVD Special Edition that included the Logitech headset, but still! $13 for UT2004 is the best bargain in computer games in years. If you don't already have UT2004, I definitely recommend purchasing a copy during this sale.
 
If you've heard of competitive video-gaming and it sounded like it might be fun, you need this game. I can train you-- no experience necessary. We play on a 2-on-2 team deathmatch ladder. Come see what Fatal1ty did for a living-- the adrenaline rush is bigger than any shooter you've ever played, and, unlike the new Counter Strike, you can turn off all the blood and swearing, and make it so that your enemies all look like what YOU want them to look like, thus eliminating any scantily-clad women. This game is rated M, but it can be made E if you know how. And the endless supply of mods for this game means you're really buying four or five games for the price of one.
 
swweeet, i have been lookign for UT2004 for a cheap price on ebay, have been having trouble finding it tho. I might be getting it pretty soon, have enough money, just saving up for something else at the moment, maybe i can talk my dad into paying half of it ;-).
 
Ok, i bought one, it will be like till Friday untill it gets here cus i just used Fed Ex Saver cus i didn't want to spend 15$ on shipping, and they dont process on the weekends :-(. So i will be joining the group on Friday or around there!
 
w00t! Glad to hear it man! Kraniac is the man, he taught me how to play UT. He speaks the truth, you don't need any experience. And to everyone else who doesn't have this game yet, buy it buy it buy it buy it! At that price you'd have to be crazy to pass it up (unless you're not allowed to get it or something). The game has 95 maps in it! There's bound to be something you're interested in. Newegg is the best by the way.
 
And if you aren't sure if you want it d/l the demo, try it, and then you will probally like it lol, the demo is fuun, i bet the game is like 20 times better.

Indeed I did, but to no avail. I actually got the game for Christmas, and she wasn't happy with the creature on the front, along with the voluminously-chested girls as well. :p (I eBayed it, by the way.)
 
Well you could see girls like that walking around in town. But i understand the parent thing, my parents are that way too with about everything. But its with the Blood mostly and if there is scantily dressed girls in it, the cursing you hear every where you go, kinda it. But thats good you can pick the the models in multiplayer.

If you'd like your moms to get on teamspeak sometime, I can walk them step by step through turning off the gore, swearing, and "needs-more-'armor'" player models. I'm serious-- it's cleaner than counterstrike.

And about the swearing: I find the taunts annoying, swearing or not. You can actually disable all the taunts period.
 
No No, its fine with my mom, some games its not, and most of the time its just the blood, cus they dont want me to be "desencatized" to the blood so i almost always have to find a way to turn it off unless its like counter strike and half life, the blood doesn't even look close to real life lol. And plus, i already bought the game, they wouldn't make me take it back or sell it, since it was my own money. And most of the time its my dad who does the game thing, so my dad would be the one who you would have to talk to, my mom doesn't know squat about games. And i already played the demo and i already know how to turn off the Blood and gore.
 
I dont really know what you guys are talking about with the scantily armored women thing. Most of the girls in that game are big fat bald women! In addition to that you're not really gonna be staring at the girls in the game anyway because you're so busy dodging out of the way of their gunfire and shooting back at them. But I guess it's kinda hard to explain that to a parent.
 
My mom spazes about those type of games.....but for some reason she loves laughing at the orc on the cover of wc3 rofl
 
Have you ever seen loading screen number 2? That's exhibit A in the case of the scantily clad women bit. However, if you open C:\UT2004\System\User.ini, there's a bit that says:

And when you beat the game it's supposed to unlock the third screen, a secret Xan Kriegor loading screen. However, it doesn't, so you're stuck with a 50% chance of seeing the scantily clad women instead of the usual 25% chance after you beat the game. I, however, simply replaced the screen with the ladies on it with the secret third screen, by changing that bit of the User.ini to read:

Yeah if they are ugly i am not gonna have any trouble not looking at them, lol. And yeah i have played the demo and you have to do ALOT of dodging stuff so, you dont really pay any attention to the girls in the game.
 
I love the UT series but I do not have 2004 because I'm afraid that if I get it, it would become obsolete when a edition comes out. Any info on when the next UT will be released?
