Ventrilo servers.

I'm looking into renting a ventrilo server. I was curious on which ones you use?

Any suggestions would be great!

The Christian Gamers Alliance runs a TeamSpeak server, but that's quite different from renting a Ventrilo server.

I believe Redeemed rents a Ventrilo server; you might try posting in the Redeemed General Forum asking for Ventrilo-related advice.

Ventrillo is free to run for up to 8 people iirc. Otherwise you have to pay a license fee in order to have more concurrent.

You may also want to look at mumble, it is an open source alternative that is pretty good.

We use www.hurricanehost.com and pay for 50 users to accomodate raiding for Redeemed and friends. Simple and easy.

you can also try the cga teamspeak server..we have tons of slots and loads of bandwidth..and it's free..<G>...however if you are already using ventrilo and wish to gfet more slots then feel free as well..

Well, Me and some family members are trying our own at leading a WoW raiding guild. I wouldn't want to be responsible for the peaple from my guild. I think we are better off just buying our own vent. I greatly appreciate the offer, though. Thank you.

I haven't been on TS2 in a very (VERY) long time, but the old TS could not even hold a candle to Vent. Vent was just that much better.

But like I said, I don't know how Ventrilo 3 would compare to TS2.

NO biggie.. I'm waiting on ts3 to FINALLY get released(even a beta would be good) so we can see how it improves it's voice quality.

The latency is too high unless you are in the same room. Then you can impale them on the head with the letter.
