http://www.persecution.com/ I havent looked at it that much yet. However it is a good site keeping track of what is going on with our brothers and sisters in other countries. I believe they offer addresses so that you can write to them as well as other things.

When I was a christian, i subscribed (free) to their newsletter, and also to their list of persecuted countries and even addresses of prisoners to whom you can write letters. They also have published the books "Jesus Freaks" and "Jesus Freaks Two" (or "More Jesus Freaks" or something like that).

Good resource for the activist Christian.

Voice of the Martyrs was started by a guy named Richard Wurmbrandt who was a Jewish Christian imprisoned during WWII. He has an absolutely incredible story. Unfortunately he recently passed away. He wrote many books about his time in prison and stories of Christian persecution. The books are rather graphic and quite disturbing at times. But you can see the heart of Christians during this horrible time of imprisonment.
