While I was building the new version of the ToJ site, I was unable to carry over all the news items prior to launch. Sorry for the frustration.

By the way, that post title makes it seem like the new site is bad. Constructive criticism would be appreciated instead of a public forum thread. Thanks!!

It would appear that the roster doesn't show people's names until they edit their profile. Also, whatever tied the usernames to specific chapters seems to have been removed in the transition. Should we post a thread asking people to log in and update their profile and chapter preferences? I just updated mine, so it shows up on the roster now.

Correct -- the data that tied users to chapters was not able to be transferred either. What we're likely going to do is run a Membership Sweep, then in the sweep's e-mail, also tell users that they need to update their profiles.

Everything will be back to normal soon, guys! =)

I'll work with Plankeye to get the last 25-or-so news postings from the old site. It's not as easy as you think to do these things, Goblit. Please give me some time.
 
I'm not impatient..just a lazy recruiter...only seem to find 6 people on the roster too. I just wish I had known so I could have written down the names beofre they were lost.

Least its updated.

I'm shocked only 1 person is in the Starcraft Roster. :eek:

But Starcraft is an old game.
 
All the news has been imported from the old ToJ site. I even converted the links so they would go to the proper profile page on the new site. Enjoy! =)
 
Names, glorious names! Now if only the links worked on their names to tell which game they play...... I know , I know be patient.

There. Over 2,300 roster records have been imported. Anything else? =D

The response to that lies in the news posting I put up on the ToJ site.

Due to technical error, we lost a few accounts in the transition to the new site. If you registered for ToJ or got approved within the past week, you may need to register again.

Please accept our apologies. We will make our best attempt to make sure this does not happen again.

I'll also point out that it was out of my control. We were bound to lose some accounts between the time I backed up the user data and the new site launched.
