By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:16-18 ESV

What are we doing to show love? Are we just talking or are we doing?

Are you willing to lay down your life for your brothers? Are you even willing to help a brother? Do you see them in need, and keep on walking? Maybe they're moving, or sick, or broke down on the side of the road?

These are very minor things we can help others with. They aren't even financially burdensome on us. If we can't do these things, we're surely not going to lay down our lives.
