For you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 ESV

Do you see a brother living an ungodly life? Are you yourself?

We are not to sit aside and let them live this way. It is not being loving, and it definitely is not 'respecting their freedom' to sit aside and let them live in sin. We are to hold each other accountable. To exhort each other. To keep each other living Christ like.
