Durruck

Pirate!
I've been reading a plan lately on stewardship, and todays devotion included a segment from Daniel. It also talked about the destructive power of sin - how our sins can set the stage to usher in the sins of the next generation.

We need to be aware of the sins of those before us, so we can avoid making the same mistakes. We need to be cautious about our lives, and we need to always remember that submitting to God is the only path to grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

Lord, public shame belongs to us, our kings, our leaders, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. Compassion and forgiveness belong to the Lord our God, though we have rebelled against Him and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by following His instructions that He set before us through His servants the prophets. (Daniel 9:8-10 HCSB)

Grace, mercy and forgiveness - praise God for his compassion. Thanks, Durruck.
