What are you guys doing on July 1st/4th?!

so... July 1st is Canada Day, and 4th is Indy day... whatcha doon on YOUR country's birthday??

Me? Beach, bbq, food, meat (LOTS of meat, with a don't-care attitude towards beef), swimming, some biking, fireworks.

and I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled
and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I'm certain they're really, really nice.

I speak English and French, NOT American.

I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack.
I believe in peace keeping, NOT policing.

Lol. I dunno. Gonna hang out with a few friends at my church teacher's house, play games, watch flicks, light cracklers (yes I will! Come and arrest me!), et cetera.
And I don't celebrate Canadians. That's like asking me if I do Hannukkah.
 
Im gonna sit at home and do nothing because its going to pour around here. I live in GA and that tropical storm is headed our way and expected to bring 9-12 inches of rain over the next 3 days.

Can't wait. Hope everyone elses 4th is better than mine.

as for the 4th, I'm not sure. I'll find out friday when I ask my wife..

Diversity is an over-used watchword, bandied about by Liberals (here Statesside at least) to do away with the 14th amendment (denoting that the government and it's institutions (can we say higher education ??) ignore race

As you might have guessed, I'm not very thrilled with the powers our Supreme Court has taken upon itself, especially recently.
 
I am gonna go have a BBQ. What other activities go on during Canada day? BBQing should be put right up there with beavers and maple syrup

Fill me in Kidan Im usually up to date on my political stuff but Ive been slacking the past 2 weeks.
 
beavers.... I don't like beavers much. they're mean and nasty and smelly.

Moose are dangerous too. They'll trample ya if ya don't watch out.

I don't celebrate july 4th.

and bbqing is on the top of the list. beach and sunbathing and playing street hockey is also a july 1st priority. Although it still is pretty cold up here. My igloo's almost done. We have power/cable/phone lines that run to every igloo in Canada, so no worries about broadband for me.
 
I'm going to have a few nice beers and wonder when we can get rid of Scotland too! ;)

Do me a BIG favour and get rid of... hmm.... Timbuktu, or Walla Walla. Cities are easier to get rid of.

OH and also... if you ever go to the Brit Isles to get rid of Scotland, bring me back an Irish potato. /me likes potatoes.

hmm since the 1st has passed i will now say: Down with canadians and their tourist traps. on the 4th i will be playin video games and watching fireworks on tv. also umm timbukto spreads for like 3 miles of tents every 300 yards or so, so have fun gettin rid of it. dont bomb walla walla i like that town, and i say that cuz im a Washingtonian and i'll kick ur canadian butt all da way to timbukto if u hit walla walla.

Well, on Canada Day, I had a BBQ... mmmmmm steak... and went downtown and watched the 5 minutes of fireworks the city had to offer. Bah. Half of the fireworks must have gotten wet or something. Lame. $50 000 worth of tax dollars gone up in smoke, but better than nothing, the mayor didn't want fireworks in the first place but was swayed by public outrage. Yay for angry letter writing, calling/emailing digusted citizens!
