I was just wondering what is right and what is wrong from a a christian perspective.

Some people are against hard rock, and rap. Some people think Harry Potter and Doom is satanic and no christians should watch or play it. I was wondering what things in the world do u consider wrong from a christian point of view and why.
And what things that people clam to be bad from a christian point of view, that u disagree with and why.

It seems like everyine on this site has different opinions on what is christian and what isn't.

I think the more important question becomes why are there so many denominations of Christianity? The underlying reason is that some group didn't like follow another group's rules so they made their own. Non-theists get slapped with not being able to understand the laws that God set forth in the Bible when Christians have been having that same problem since the inception of the religion.

Why are there so many differences? There's only one God, one Christ, one Bible, so what's the problem?

Honestly the main problem has always been rather than studying the word themselves people look to follow someone else that seems to be saying the right things, and/or inpreting the bible the way those people seem to agree with. Also there are only 2 real commands that we need to follow (paraphrased) To love the Lord God with everything in you and to love you neighbor as you love yourself. In doing those 2 things you fullfill everything else in the bible as far as the law is concerned. But rather than doing that we want a set of rules to govern us, and we believe that the more rights we have makes us a much more free people, in fact what happens is the reverse, the more laws we have the more confined and restricted we become. I prefer to walk in the freedom that loving God and loving our neighbor offers. I like to worship God with total abandon, and allow those around me to worship how they want. Serving God may at times not be very easy at all, BUT it is simple. It only when we get in our own way that we confuse things and try then to fix them, and/or to fix other people, and THAT is where we end up building denominations and more rules, and start down that bad cyclic path of destruction.

The USA has more laws, regulations, statutes and the like then any other nation on the world, yet, somehow Americans consider themselves to be the freeest people on the planet. Christianity and Judiasm are based on the two foundations you mentioned, yet they are considered the most restrictive religions in the world. Talk about the world being decieved.

The problem is that your statement, Jehovahjava, only fits YOUR view of Christianity. Sure, according to you, there are only two rules to follow. Two very, very vague rules. I think a Roman Catholic might have a bit more to say on that matter. When Christianity can come together as one unified religion, then I might listen a little closer. Until then, it is no different than any other religion out there.

well start with the ten commandments and let the Holy Spirit guide you on the rest. Just because I don't feel right playing certain games and listening to certain types of music doesn't mean I'm any better or worse than another believer. We are called to honor and glorify God in all we do. How you do it is up to you.

like always I agree with CCGR, you have the Ten commandments plus all of the ones Jesus gave us in his times, Remember that even considering or wanting to break any of the commandments is sin itself. So if you consider stealing gum from rite aid, you are a theif in Gods eyes. And yeah Its all in the holy spirit, you will know whats right and wrong, but you may argue with it like we all do sometimes!
