It is interesting to see the trends as games develop. Unfortunately few developers actually listen to gamers.

I am curious because I havent seen many good simulations out lately, imagine if they did a mech game with all those lovely shaders and other tech.
 
Here's what I want;

FPS - Crysis
Space Simulation - Freelancer (I know its been out, but Darkstar One isn't good enough for me.)
RTS - Command and Conquer 3
RPG - Balder's Gate series (I liked it better then NWN.)
FPS/RPG - Deus Ex 1 & 2 (Loved these games, haven't seen anything else like them.)


These are the games that I'm hoping will add something knew to the genre, and can't wait for them to come out. The ones that are already released, have yet to be surpassed IMHO.
 
I want UT2007. I am such a nerd I even had a DREAM about that game. I also want them to make another GOOD Tribes game (not like Vengeance). And a MechWarrior game that was as awesome as MW2.
 
The tribes games were good, expecially since they ran on linux (unlike vengence imo).

I really really want a good accurage space sim, freelancer was awsome but it gets old after maxing your ship on multiplayer lol.

Its pretty sad when you totally own the police with one ship...
 
I've gone into a lot of games thinking that I prefer FPS, but I tend to get bored sooner with them unless it is multi-player. So, I would have to go with RPG. Actually, I think I might rank it like this:
1. FPS (Multi-Player)
2. RPG (MMO or not)
3. FPS
 
Yeah, mostly everyone likes FPS and RTS games.

Counter-Strike being FPS and Starcraft being RTS for me.

I've seen and played demos of all the other FPS and RTS, the graphics are amazing, but nah, I'm sticking with my old games.

Though, I'm hoping to get Survivor-Horror games like Resident Evil 5 and maybe try out Dead Rising on the 360.

Survivor games are so intense, challenging and very heart-pounding when you got little or no ammo, hehehehehe. :D

Such as Zombie Horde mod on CS:Source, its crazy when you got 10 of your teammates firing at the same time, EXTREME FIREPOWER!!!
 
Kraniac, I stand with you 100% on that. I miss the Dynamix team. They were a great bunch of folks, and nothing done since the original has been as good. Legends is okay, but there's not the community Tribes had.

Didn't have a dream about UT2007, mostly because I'm too busy dreaming about WoW.

MW2 was the ultimate mech game. MW3 was good, MW4 was okay. They need to make a game more like MPBT:3025 with the mechs of MW2. That would be nice...
 
I hated the MP in mw4 personally, and the bots stunk. It was fun creating dual LL/[guass/lbx20] scats. Everyone in my clan hated those terrors for the rest of their time. Then when mercs came out I introduced a hellhound with 3xlbx10s and ended up killing half the team but eventually lost to a loki missle boat :(

Hehe that was funny to see them reacting to such a small mech with that much firepower...
